Recreational Gymnastics Classes

Events: Vault, Bars, Beam & Floor
We start our classes by age but we move them up by ability.

Our Recreational Classes focus on learning basic gymnastics positions and skills; implementing them on all events.  We want kids to enjoy learning in a safe and non-competitive environment.

*Your athlete will begin each class with a group warm-up employing their large muscle groups and raising their heart rate.  Our coaches will teach them to stretch and work on bridges and splits at a level comfortable to each individual.

All Recreational classes are designed to be a continuation of skills and growth from the previous class.

REGISTRATION-FEE PLUS FIRST MONTH'S TUITON IS DUE AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION.

Gymnasts will focus on large motor movement, coordination, balance, and building strength.  These skills are taught in a wide variety of fun ways to keep kids moving and enjoying learning.  We have a separate room with smaller equipment just their size.  Some rotations are in the main gym so gymnasts are gradually introduced to the larger space.  Movement from this class can be done before age 6, if deemed ready by the coach.

Gymnasts will focus on core strength, arm strength, and the coordination necessary to learn handstands, cartwheels, and forward rolls. They will spend time hanging, swinging, and supporting themselves on the bars in order to build the necessary strength to pull over onto the bars.  Balance and coordination on beam will be done through walks, kicks, and jumps on both low & high beams.  All athletes will grow at their individual pace with encouragement and positive reinforcement from our coaching staff.

This program is a continuation of our Beginner program for kids that are already familiar with basic gymnastics skills and vocabulary.  This class will move quicker providing time to learn more advanced skills.

This is our most advanced recreational Class.
Your athlete will continue to build strength and gain flexibility while learning gymnastics safely.
Athletes in this class will be the ones we look at when choosing our future team members.

Tumbling

Tumbling - Floor Only
